Livelihoods Restoration Project

The LIVELIHOODS RESTORATION project

Kitovu Mobile is implementing the Enterprise Development Project under the Livelihood Restoration Program by the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) in Ssembabule and Rakai Districts with support from Asigma Capital Advisory Services Limited.

Target Group: EACOP Project Affected Persons (PAPs) in Sembabule and Rakai Districts.

The program aims at providing hands-on and business management skills to Project Affected Households (PAHs), to equip them with skills that enable them to enter the labor market or become self-employed, towards the improvement of their household income and overall livelihood.

Through field-based instructors, Kitovu Mobile has empowered 175 Project Affected Persons (114 in Sembabule and 61 in Rakai) with various hands-on skills, and to start their own enterprises, including bar (herbal) and liquid soap making, snack production, book making, and crocheting, fostering economic resilience and self-sufficiency among the beneficiary Households.
