Increasing access to HPV vaccination and cancer awareness for girls in informal care giving for palliative care patients.

To develop a pilot and a novel robust model to accelerate increased awareness and of HPV vaccination services among females in the informal caregiving setting in the greater Masaka region.

  • Young girls from 8 – 15 years with HPV vaccine.
  • Females 21- 49 years for screening breast and cervical cancer.
  • Pregnant mothers of gestation less than 20 weeks
  • Training palliative care health workers on how to offer health education on HPV vaccination, cervical and breast cancer screening and available treatment options.
  • Identification of stakeholders and mapping HPV vaccination sites in Masaka city, Masaka and Kalungu districts.
  • Map the HPV service providers in the palliative care provider catchment areas
  • Developing standard referral systems.
  • Conduct HPV vaccination, cervical and breast cancer screening and treatment at KM hospice clinic
  • Winding up with identifying all the target families.
