OUR MISSION

We provide services to improve the lives of those affected by HIV, Cancer and poverty.  In partnership with communities and other organisations we also provide training and mentorship to build capacity in the areas of prevention, care, support and improved livelihoods

OUR KEY PRIORITY OBJECTIVES FOR THE NEXT 5 YEARS

  • Consolidation of projects into Kitovu Mobile program (now forward work towards a consolidated fund; restructuring projects to avoid duplication of services):
  • Institutional capacity building and systems strengthening (partnerships-strengthening referral systems, use of existing structures e.g. community groups)
  • In each project there must be an inbuilt sustainability strategy from the start, with phase out strategy (at community and organisational level) charge for visitors; charge for training; establish guest house for visitors
  • Expansion of services beyond catchment area:  Establish operations in other areas
  • Integrated implementation. Whenever possible various departments will work together to execute services to avoid duplication.  This strategy to be promoted in all new projects)
  • Improve documentation and dissemination (capacity building in Integrate research, M&E into programming)
  • Improve advocacy (capacity building of beneficiaries to speak out)
  • Establish  new and appropriate organisation home
